Bookkeeper

The position of Bookkeeper requires the contractor to be discreet, trustworthy and displays leadership skills. The bookkeeper should have good concentration and an eye for detail, is self-motivated and ability
to multi-task, work towards deadlines efficiently as well as able to anticipate the next step without direction. Experience with non-profit bookkeeping and grant tracking is required.

Core Duties
• The primary responsibility is to execute QuickBooks Online to track all income and expenses.
• Records income from fundraising or donation campaigns through GiveButter, PayPal, or EFT/TSYS systems.
• Grant tracking for expenses, stipulations, and award documentation.
• Prepares monthly financial reports for the Executive Director & Board Treasurer
• Performs monthly reconciliation for all bank, credit card, and investment accounts
• Prepares monthly donor reports for Development Director
• Ensures that insurance on property for staff, directors, and vehicles is compliant
• Registers vehicles and title transfers
• Assists with yearly budgeting
• Assists Board Treasurer with any documentation requests related to the annual audit, 990 submission or other regulatory compliance.
• Monthly submission of Ohio Sales Tax Returns.
• Records weekly payroll reports via journal entry in QBO.
• Maintains on-site monthly and yearly accounting records in compliance with any organization Cash Policies or Retention policies.
• Be available for regular on-site meetings.

Duties to stay internal at ministry:
• Donation recording and deposits.
• Check issuance or bill payment.
• Overall cash management.
• Donor record maintenance.
• Processing of Credit Card donations.

Employment status: 1099 independent contractor
