Ben Boyer is a technology investor, entrepreneur, and co-founder of Prospector Baseball Group—a multi-club Minor League Baseball investment and operating platform. Prospector is building a modern,data-driven model for community franchises, using AI-powered marketing, dynamic ticketing, and centralized operations to grow margins and elevate the fan experience.

Ben co-founded Tenaya Capital in 2009, where he is a Partner. Over two decades in venture capital, he has backed category-defining companies across consumer and enterprise software, including Kayak,Lyft, Eventbrite, PlanGrid, Qunar, Tenor, and ThreatMetrix. He is also a co-founder and board member of R-Zero, a sustainable-buildings company known for its energy solutions, and a co-founder of Honor Pet, a tech-forward end-of-life care platform for pets based in Los Angeles.

Ben began his career in Lehman Brothers’ technology investment banking group and later served as a partner at Lehman Brothers Venture Partners. He holds an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.S. from Vanderbilt University. Ben lives in Park City, Utah, with his wife and daughter.
