Larry Stevenson brings more than 20 years of North American rail experience, including executive leadership roles in commercial, for-profit railroads, to his position as CEO of the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad. His background spans both the private and nonprofit sectors, giving him a unique perspective on balancing operational performance with mission-driven impact.

Larry joined CVSR in 2024 to lead the organization into its next chapter. Operating through Cuyahoga Valley National Park, the CVSR is more than a train, it’s a vital community asset that connects people to place through educational, recreational, and cultural experiences while supporting environmental stewardship and regional economic vitality.

He leads with a clear belief that vision only matters when it’s translated into action. His focus is on building long-term sustainability and ensuring the railroad makes a meaningful and lasting contribution to the many communities it serves, strengthening partnerships, expanding impact, and creating experiences that endure for generations.
