Founders Society
In 1984, Paul Poorman, Barbara Hiney, Dave Lieberth and others exercised visionary leadership in founding Leadership Akron. Today, Leadership Akron is building on the founders’ vision with support from the Founders Society. The Founders Society recognizes individuals who are making significant investments to build on the legacy of Leadership Akron’s founders. It honors the tradition of visionary leadership that has marked the founding and continued growth of Leadership Akron.
Membership Levels
The Founders Society includes three levels of membership for individuals:
THE LEADERSHIP CIRCLE
(sustaining) – Individual $2,500 annual contribution to Leadership Akron programs or endowment
THE LEGACY CIRCLE
(lifetime) – $25,000 cumulative lifetime gifts or an equivalent planned gift to Leadership Akron programs or endowment
THE IMPACT CIRCLE
(sustaining) – Individual $1,000 annual contribution to Leadership Akron programs or endowment

Friends of Leadership Akron
We are pleased to announce that we have created an opportunity to recognize those individuals who give generously at any amount up to $1,000. Friends of Leadership Akron was launched on GivingTuesdayNow, a global day of giving and unity occurring May 5, 2020, as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.
