What is insight:AKRON?
insight:Akron is a full-day community orientation for senior executives who are new to the Akron area. Through an interactive day of site visits, presentations, and hands-on activities, insight:Akron offers the perfect opportunity for senior executives to “hit the ground running” in the Akron community. With insight:Akron, executives can expedite the process of networking, learning, and getting involved in the Akron community.
When Does the Program Run?
insight:Akron is held one full day each year, usually in September.
Who Participates in insight:AKRON?
This program is designed for top level executives who may be new to the Akron area looking to receive a “crash-course” on our community. This is a good alternative for an executive who may not currently have the time to participate in the Leadership Akron flagship program.
Connecting Leaders to Community
insight:Akron participants are recommended by their employers based on their seniority level, prospective impact as a community leader, and their potential to benefit from the program. Participants will:
Become acquainted with key organizations, decision makers, and issues in the Akron area
Connect with other executives across sectors
Experience behind-the-scenes visits to a number of Akron area’s most notable assets
Learn the rich history behind the Akron area
Receive an overall orientation to the community that will prove valuable in deciding where to get involved
